Last day of Eng 101 class

Yesterday was my last class of English 101. The last day was just like the first day: everyone was waiting in front of the classroom, waiting for somebody to unlock the room for us. The only and big different is that on the first day, we all were waiting in front of class, staring at one another as strangers- We did not talk. But yesterday, we all were waiting in front of the class excitedly. We talked, we laughed and we shared. I do like this class……. Hopefully, my next classes would be the same.

Daughter: Dad, I got B for my test in school, and I think I might got B for that class too. I wish I could get A. Are you upset?

Father : Don’t be silly! You’re doing the best already, sweetheart! B is still great. I’m still so proud of you… You’re working and going to school at the same time, and you still got B…. that is great! I’m really really proud of you, it’s not because you got A or B, it’s because you’re my daughter. So do whatever you can, don’t force yourself too much. I will always be happy no matter what achievement you will have.

I am happy to be me… And I am happy with what I have achieved in my life so far. I don’t wish to be somebody else great… I just wanna be me, and I am proud of ME too!

It was our one year anniversary in March. We celebrated it in Boston, MA. We stayed in a nice hotel with a nice view of the sea…. We did have a great time. It was really another unforgettable memory of mine….

It has been really a long long while that I didn’t visit my own website at all. Maybe it was cuz I was addicted too much to FB. But now here I am back to update it!

I’ll have been here in America for a year by next month. It’s just a year, just a year, yet I am able to settle down quite a lot. I got my driving license, then I bought a car. I can’t believe I drive car now! When I was in Cambodia, I couldn’t even ride a motorbike! Below is my very first car that I ever own… (It’s Corolla S 2010) :

Not only that, but I’m also going back to school. I’m majoring in Medical Administration. Hopefully, I’ll get a good career after i finish the course becuz I have too many dreams to chase for. Anyway, all of this I should thank to a person. He has helped me to stand on my feet, he has helped me a lot…. I dunno what else I can say…….. Just … Thank you for being there for me!

Father’s Day is the day that children express their feeling, their gratefulness, and so on to their father. It might be a very special day. For me, for almost 24 years that I’ve never said “Happy Father’s Day” to you cuz it’s just not our culture to say it on this day. And maybe cuz I’m too shy to say it to you. But one thing, you’ve gotta know,although I don’t say it, deep down there in my heart, you are a great father everyday (even I’m that far away from you now). Thank you for taking care of me, thank you for loving me, thank you for being proud of me (and always think that I’m the smartest daughter of yours), and thank you for everything you have given me since I was born. I do love you, Pa. And I really miss you.
